Seaford Walk
Parking at South Hill Barn will save our legs and put us at one of the most spectacular stretches of coast in Britain. We’ll go through the basics before setting off towards the cliffs and our first vantage point.
As we walk I’ll go around the group and discuss composition, rule of thirds and subject matter, things to look out for that might add interest to an image as well as the basics like aperture and shutter speed.
We’ll have the opportunity to head down onto Hope Gap Beach, before continuing to one of Englands most iconic sights, The Seven Sisters and the famous Fishermen's Cottages. Here we’ll look for unique ways to shoot something photographed so frequently and how we can make the most of the scenery.
Next, we’ll head onto the beach to test out how our cameras work on full manual mode (we might do this sooner depending on experience and camera). There are loads of great photo opportunities here and it’s also a great spot for a break and to take in the surroundings.
Egrets and kingfishers are often seen along this stretch of Cuckmere river as well as turns, oystercatchers and gulls.
We'll then head back up along the coast and see how the Sunset is progressing. Fingers crossed we shall be treated with splendid colour over the sea.
